About the role
With deep expertise in enterprise AI and decisioning systems, the Solutions Consulting team at Zest AI plays a critical role in helping financial institutions understand, evaluate, and adopt machine learning solutions that drive smarter lending. Partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering, the team translates complex technical capabilities into clear business value across high-stakes, regulated environments.
Senior Sales Engineer operate as technical leaders within the sales process—owning solution strategy, driving rigorous evaluations, and shaping how customers experience and understand Zest AI’s platform. In this role, you will lead technical engagements end-to-end, influence deal outcomes, and help scale best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Own technical execution across sales cycles; align customer requirements to scalable, value-driven solution strategies
- Lead discovery and translate business and technical requirements into clear solution architectures
- Design and deliver high-impact product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and technical validations
- Drive customer evaluations forward by addressing technical blockers across data, integrations, security, and architecture
- Partner with Account Executives to influence deal strategy and improve win outcomes
- Build trust with technical and business stakeholders through a consultative, insight-driven approach
- Develop reusable demos, frameworks, and technical assets to scale team effectiveness
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface customer feedback and influence product direction
- Ensure successful transition from pre-sales to post-sale by aligning on technical success criteria
We are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or a related pre-sales technical role in B2B SaaS
- Proven track record of supporting complex, multi-stage sales cycles and influencing deal outcomes
- Strong understanding of SaaS architectures, APIs, integrations, and enterprise systems
- Ability to translate ambiguous customer requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams
- Strong execution skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities
- Experience working with enterprise customers; familiarity with regulated industries is a plus
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or value-based selling is a plus
