Job Description

The Director of Product Management is responsible for ensuring new products and services introduced in Leasing and Marketing product line are successful and have long term viability. As the team leader, planning and managing the new software development lifecycle and proper scoping of requirements are critical to ensure success. This role will partner cross-functionally with various stakeholders and clients to collaborate on final solutions and prepare change management strategies for adoption of new functionality. Continual updates, KPI measurements, service level agreements and standards governance are all part of the team’s functional day-to-day operations. The Director of Product Management will need to give direction and priorities on accomplishing the daily, weekly and monthly goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong product management leadership background, multifamily website, digital services and online leasing experience with proven innovation skills. In addition, the ability to be a catalyst for change in a matrixed environment with B2B and B2C products. The Director of Product Management designs and implements the product roadmap which addresses market demands and surpasses the relevant competition to achieve long-term financial goals for the organization.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product vision, roadmap, and strategy for a portfolio of SaaS products, aligning with overall company objectives and market trends
  • Create compelling business cases to support product investments and prioritize initiatives based on ROI and market potential
  • Collaborate with development, design, and other internal & external stakeholders to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product launches
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback gathering to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product success, analyze data, and make informed decisions to optimize product performance
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and launch plans
  • Effectively communicate product strategy and vision to senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders
  • Responsible for optimizing the profitability through scalable and efficiency operating platform strategies, customer communication and user interface initiatives
  • Coordinate product management across cross-functional teams in a matrixed structure, while meeting project timelines
  • Identify bottlenecks, by anticipating and making trade-offs that will maximize business benefits and create excellent customer experiences.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum qualifications)

  • 7+ years of SaaS product management experience, including product ownership
  • 5+ years leading and mentoring a team of product managers on user story and acceptance criteria creation
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling SaaS products
  • Deep understanding of SaaS product development lifecycle, pricing models, and cloud technologies
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and translating them into impactful product features
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams
  • Ability to leverage data analytics to inform product decisions and measure success
  • Ability to keep abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training programs, researching and/or subscribing other professional publications, or utilizing other appropriate method(s) to obtain business and professional information, and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Certified Product Owner, Certified Sr. Product Owner, UI/UX Certification preferred

  • We have an in-office work style, with most team members working in the office from Monday to Thursday and remotely on Friday.
