About Hypercore

Hypercore is building the operating system for the $3T+ global Private Credit market - one of the fastest-growing and most under-served asset classes in finance.

Backed by Insight Partners and Y Combinator, Hypercore is trusted by leading private credit funds, BDCs, and alternative asset managers to run their most mission-critical operations. As private credit firms scale in size and complexity, legacy systems and spreadsheets are no longer sufficient - and that’s exactly where Hypercore comes in.

Hypercore is scaling fast -not just in revenue, but in ambition. We’re building a category-defining company in a massive market, and we’re assembling a team that wants to grow with it.

What You'll Do

This is a product-first role (~80%), with occasional involvement in broader design needs across the company (e.g. marketing, landing pages, and decks).

  • Own the end-to-end product experience for core workflows across origination, underwriting, and loan servicing
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate complex requirements into clear, buildable solutions
  • Design data-heavy, workflow-driven interfaces used daily by investment and operations teams
  • Break down complex processes into structured flows, states, and edge cases to support fast development
  • Improve usability and onboarding by identifying friction and simplifying key journeys
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and prototypes with a focus on clarity and speed to implementation
  • Contribute to a scalable design system to ensure consistency across the platform
  • Run lightweight user research to validate decisions and reduce iteration cycles

Additionally (Hybrid/Generalist Scope):

  • Support company-wide design needs such as landing pages, presentations, and marketing assets when needed
  • Help bring clarity and structure to messaging and storytelling across product and marketing surfaces

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate complex financial workflows into intuitive, scalable product experiences
  • Define clear user flows, states, and edge cases for efficient engineering execution
  • Design data-dense interfaces (dashboards, tables, forms) optimized for daily use
  • Identify and resolve usability bottlenecks in onboarding and core workflows
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are practical and fast to build
  • Maintain and evolve design consistency through reusable components and systems
  • Validate product decisions through targeted research and iteration

Hybrid Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to landing pages and external-facing design when needed
  • Create clear, structured visual communication for decks, demos, and customer-facing materials

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in Product Design, with experience building complex B2B systems (e.g. fintech, data platforms, internal tools)
  • Strong product thinking alongside high-quality design execution
  • Experience designing complex, data-heavy systems or dashboards
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams and shipping features in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with AI tools for design, prototyping, or ideation
  • High proficiency in Figma (or similar tools)
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and iterate quickly toward practical solutions
  • Comfortable contributing to broader design needs across the company (e.g. landing pages, presentations, customer-facing materials)

Advantage

  • Experience in financial products, fintech, or data-heavy domains

Why Join Hypercore?

  • Fun, dynamic startup culture backed by top investors.
  • Great growth opportunities with room to make impactful decisions.
  • Work on real industry transformation. Help modernize how lenders manage complex loan portfolios.

How to Apply

  • Please include a portfolio showcasing relevant product design work
  • We’re especially interested in projects involving complex workflows, data-heavy systems, or B2B products
  • For at least one project, highlight:
  • The problem you were solving
  • Your approach and decision-making
  • Key trade-offs and constraints
  • The final outcome / impact
